Dr. Annette Blaugrund
The third annual South Eastern Appalachian Artist’s Guild will open October 16 and run through November 12, 2010. I know I have one photograph that has been accepted. The juror is Dr. Annette Blaugrund. A very intimidating, to me, judge. I can’t wait to see what she selects from the show. That is always the most interesting thing to me since I have no formal training. I love to figure out what it is in each artwork that the judge feels separates it from the pack. Especially when everything in the pack is good!
Dr. Blaugrunds Bio:
“Dr. Annette Blaugrund, Ph.D. is former Director of the National Academy of Design/Museum and School of Fine Arts, NY. In addition to her experience with the National Academy of Design, Annette is an art historian, curator and author. She has extensive experience as a show juror in the United States, Bermuda and Russia. We are pleased to have a juror of Dr. Blaugrund’s reputation and experience select our show for 2010″.
