NeverMore by Todd Suttles

The Atlanta Photography Group show In Your Dreams will open in two weeks. The show this year was juried by Dr. Jerry Cullum. I am very honored to have been included in his selection process. I can hardly wait to see the rest of his show. Dr. Cullum’s Juror’s Statement about the show is absolutely intriguing!

The exhibit will be in the TED MALOOF GALLERY, Atlanta Photography Group, 75 Bennett Street in Tula Art Center.   …More Information

Oct 16 / The Third Annual SAAG National Show; Juror Dr. Annette Blaugrund

Title: Slope

SLOPE

Slope was awarded an Award of Merit by juror Dr. Annette Blaugrund who judged the South Eastern Appalachian Artists Guild third annual show. The show opened tonight and will be on exhibit through November 12, 2010 in Blueridge Georgia at the Blueridge Mountain Arts Association’s Richard Low Evans Gallery. Several people have asked me to explain Slope. Most aren’t quite sure what to make of it at first. I did wtite a little blurb about it for a magazine so I will include it here:

“For me the only question worthy of asking, and answering, is: “To what purpose shall I put this?”. If the world is an outward expression of an inner condition as I believe, then it is the observer that names the observed. Every image can be used as Freud used dreams: “The Royal Road  to the unconscious”. My intention with SLOPE is to entice the observer onto slippery ground, forcing a decision to be made of the strong symbolism used”. -t suttles
